Every year since 1996 when we set up permanent residence at 208 1 Street South, thousands of tourists have stopped by Torrington annually to marvel at the things us gophers can do. this is an unashamed tourist stop that has taken advantage of a large local gopher population. Several 'installations' incorporating stuffed (real) gopher carcasses to recreate different scenes of the town of Torrington. We drove up to an old building that looked quite small.

I think most people still agree this place is wicked awesome.Back in the mid 90s, the town of Torrington was faced with two issues: first, a desire to increase tourism, and second, a gopher problem. If I lived in Alberta I would bring every single visitor I got there, no matter their age!
