In December 1999, the Zapruder family donated the copyright to the Zapruder film to The Sixth Floor Museum, along with one of the first-generation copies made on November 22, 1963, and other copies of the film. Hailed as “The Front Door of Dallas,” Dealey Plaza served as the major gateway to the city from the west and, equally important, as a symbol of civic pride. The Sixth Floor Museum is open on Mondays from 12pm to 6pm and Tuesday through Sundays from 10am to 6pm.
CityPASS holders can visit the museum up to two days in advance of the day they plan on visiting to get a timed admission ticket ahead of time.
