They have really upped their standards since the first film, this film was a little more scary than the first, actors once again were fantastic, scenes were good, and the storyline was well thought out. When Katie (Katie Featherston) and her boyfriend Micah (Micah Sloat) move into a new house in the suburbs of San Diego, Katie worries that a ghostly presence that has haunted her since her youth has followed her to their new home. They did an exceptional job with the scares, story and continuity from the original. Especially when the cabinets flew open. I think this one was just as good as the first i found it scary as i could realte to it... young family with a child and a dog.

It's as well made as the first and maintains the atmosphere of the first. Skinwalker Ranch: The Most Paranormal Hotspot on Planet Earth It has it's moments and if you liked the first it is worth seeing and if you really liked the first then you'll want to see this for the missing pieces of the story. I don't know why I love these movies so much. Paranormal Activity 2. The story line was pretty good too unlike some other horror movies.
The scares were definitely good in this one and some parts I feel were really freaky giving you some goosebumps. Can't say there were any special features worth mentioning. Usually most sequels will go way over the top and this one stayed true to what made the first one successful. Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2014.
As it set prior to the first one, leads up to the first, then jumps to directly after the first ones climax. Unless you have good surround sound the scares won't be as good at home, but turned up loud can give a nice scare.
The entire movie is set in one single house through the lens of one camera, a somewhat basic formula but is twisted brilliantly by events that build up to a climax.
