None of the inside rooms of the castle were open to view, however we were still charged £7:per person to walk round the outside areas of the keep. I'd also like to mention the young man from Valencia who, although new to his role was clearly eager to please and contributed to our overall view that this is a great place to relax/read the paper in front of a lovely fire/enjoy a drink and eat really lovely food. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return. Conveniently located restaurants include St Mawes Bakery, Hotel Tresanton Restaurant, and The Watch House. The seven bedroom boutique hotel has bright and airy luxurious guestrooms. I enquired about the usual things that go with a morning coffee such a biscuits, cakes, pain au raisin etc but they do not do such things. Hake was great, though my friends fish cakes were very very dry and unpleasant.
When there we always have lunch here on the first floor looking out to the Harbour . All a bit too slow I’m afraid and a bit too pricey for what it was, as well.
