The Westminster Law School Degree Show Thursday 21 March 2024

You are warmly invited to this year’s Westminster Law School Degree Show. This is the 7th year in a row we are hosting the Law School Degree Show, a feast for all the senses where all final year law students are asked to create an artefact reflecting on their encounter with the law, justice and injustice, and their own personal responsibility as law students. The students work with academic advisors and the Westminster law and theory lab artists in residence, and produce often extremely moving and political works. If you would like more information on it and a theoretical analysis of the importance of creative expression for law, please read the published article The Law School Degree Show: law, materiality, decolonization and authentic assessment here:

The show takes place on Thursday 21st of March at Ambika P3, Marylebone Building, University of Westminster, from 4 till 7pm.

This year is a little special, because we are going to be showing a short film by our alumna turned ethnomusicologist and film-maker, Ada Cotton, on the Windrush generation, followed by a brief interview, and then prizes to the students’ best projects. We will also have a special iftar moment at around 6:15 with one of our students offering coffee and dates as part of his project followed by appropriate food from our caterers for all observants to break fast. The ceremonies and film show will be around 5pm.

If you’d like to attend, please let us know by emailing Ewa at w1885380@my.westminster.ac.uk

See you there!
