I don't usually spend that much on e-books since you aren't receiving a printed version so I never understood how they could cost so much but I read the first one for free on prime and I was hooked. The result is an immersive, easy read that manages to be squeaky-clean but still smart, fun, and empowering, with characters that are believably genuine, flawed, and on occasion dull. Eadlyn has always found their fairy-tale story romantic, but she has no interest in trying to repeat it. Her parents are engaged, present, and incredibly supportive, and they often leave her to make difficult decisions with only minimal guidance.
I really enjoyed this, but I liked America better than Eadlyn.
