This was placed by the family of Lieutenant George Landrum. Chickamauga Battlefield Hunt Cemetery is a 3 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia that offers scenic views and is good for all skill levels. Of the three hikes I went on in the Chickamauga Battlefield Unit of Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, the Hybrid Trail is my favorite (of course, I came up with it!). In .75 miles turn right on the Blue Trail. It helped! 2nd Minnesota Volunteer Infantry Monument. I had full service the whole hike so I was able to use the GPS to record the hike and it was spot on regarding the trail.

You can print my instructions for this hike, but aside from a few hints as to how not to get lost and my Yellow Trail shortcut, the directions are the same as on the park trail map. If you take my Yellow Trail shortcut, just keep hiking on the Yellow Trail until you come to the Blue Trail, at which point you will turn right, away from Reed’s Bridge Road (on your left). Most messages on the Cell Phone Tour last between 3 and 5 minutes. Follow the Red Trail back to the Visitor Center. The Trail was okay.
Following it for about a mile of easy hiking brings you back to the parking area. A nice little jaunt through the woods and battlefield.
The "far" section of the the trail was really overgrown w weeds and briars. Otherwise, I don’t see much need for it.
