My parents didn't go to UT, but living in Austin, everyone's a fan of UT. And of course, Beta Theta Pi, like Blake Schur. So, there have been times in high school where the teacher would have a really awkward silence, so I'd look into the corner and [make cricket noises]. Then it kind of has that ripple effect, where everybody's more excited about A&M, and I really want to be a part of that process. A key element to maintaining your network will involve identifying and forwarding articles of interest or leads to your contacts to help them serve and grow their organization. Also, it's just a tradition that makes you feel like a family, no matter if you're a former student or current Aggie because regardless if you know the person or not they're part of your family, and you will always be recognized till the day you pass. That holds a lot of weight to me, so I know I need to mentally prepare for what that entails, but I feel like I definitely got the qualifications to make sure that I serve the university. There are students that walked up, they're like, Oh my gosh, where are you from? Then I've just really dove into that spirit that brings everybody together.
